My phone crashed, I went into a panic...then another panic with the thought of spending hours in the Sprint store for them to dick me around...however, they were really nice, fast and took care of my issue immediately. Thank goodness for the insurance I had!! Got a new phone on the spot and was out the door in less then two hours.

I'm compelled to write a review based how great the Customer Service Rep's were at this here Sprint retail store due to how many here are compelled to start their reviews with how terrible the Customer Service Rep's were at this here Sprint Retail store.

So...here's the deal..We took the dog's to Crissy Field to play in the sand and surf. Prior to leaving the apartment, I put on my trunks, fully aware that I, too, would take m'self a swim with the pup's. Hence, why I'm an idgit and kept my phone in my pocket when I finally did get into the surf.

Which is how I ended up at this here Retail store....

The gentleman informed me that I needed to go through my insurance regarding acquiring a replacement phone. He was as helpful as he could be and within his means. I contacted them..recieved my phone..and of course....RECIEVED THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER while trying to reactivate the phone via phone..

Sprint: The Company/GIANT..should have a chat with itself and seriously think about some of the ways they choose to handle their paying Customers...But this actual off-shoot Retail Store of said GIANT offers everything offered within it's shit hole of a Company's Customer Service Manual with a smile, at least!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.  I expect customers service to provide--oh, I don't know....SERVICE?!   Instead I get the snark: I'm not the technician, m'am (no you are only asst mgr!) so I can't tell you what's wrong with your phone. When I asked him  to check if the batteries were low, I had to ask THREE times before he would do it. And to top it off, I heard an employee tell a customer that if he bought insurance for the account he would be prepared next time his phone imploded.   um, hard sell, anyone?

My phone is broken. It's a motorola. It was a piece of shit to begin with, but now it's a non-functioning piece of shit and that is a problem for a wildly popular man-about-town such as myself.

After taking the bus down, I walk into the store and immediately notice that there is a line nearly out the door. Sprint, in all of their wisdom, put one location in the San Francisco area. Bravo, shitheads.

When I finally got up to the counter at the repair section, I was told that I would be then and there bent over the counter and mercilessly raped in exchange for a repair/new phone discount.

When I ask politely if I could avoid the sodomy and instead give them three-hundred dollars of my money to purchase a new phone instead, they shrugged and said, "Sure, I guess".

Really bad customer service.

I wanted a new contract and had already picked out which plan I wanted, the add-ons and the phones I wanted to purchase.

Easy sale, right? Wrong.

The guy behind the counter found multiple ways to alienate me. I knew the phone i wanted (something simple, no bells and whistles, preferably free with a subscription), and he continued to try to up sell me on a $500 phone. When I politely declined his pitch, he told me that he couldn't help me in the store and I had to call customer service for future assistance.

The only time I was able to get good service at this location was from a  female sales representative.  Lately though, it's been a real boys club.  The    family plan is in my  name  and paid by me and they continue to address my boyfriend as if its his contract.

Sprint is the embodiment of all evil.

They have the WORST service ever. Their representatives don't understand english. Their website is horrible. They nickle and dime you.

For the past few months, my phone and plan details have been wrong on the online account manager.

They charged me $500 randomly, and I had to spend hours on the phone getting it resolved.

Never ever use sprint.

I received wonderful service at this store. I wanted a new phone, I was walking by and decided to walk in. I was in and out in less than 30 min. Because of them I am still paying $7.50/mo for unlimited data and $7.50/mo for unlimited text.

My phone has had a tough life, and has seen better days. I probably dropped it at least fifty times, learned that it works great in the shower, and drove my car over it. Its still working fine. I am pretty sure it just doesn't want to die because it wants to see more of me. Its probably in awe with the conversations that go through it and definitely absolutely loving the text history. Its probably going through saved ones over and over and laughing silently at them... I mean, wouldn't you? Example:

[...]

In (11:00PM): "I am feeling very aggressive right now. What are you doing later?"

[...]

Yeah, so... uhm... yeah... uuuhm.

I thank Sprint and its employees at this particular location for providing me with tools, so I could receive, send, save, and reread things like this the next morning and laugh so hard that my eyes tear up.

Update - I felt bad. It was funny. But no one needs to go through the whole thing.

One word:

Awfull!

I came into this store to get my phone fixed, as the hinge had broken and as a result caused the screen of my phone to go out.

I expected them to fix my phone on site, free of charge since I do have the insurance that covers phone repairs (Im no stranger to breaking my phone, and have used this feature many a time).

First thing the employee tells me is that it's going to cost me $55 dollars to fix my phone because my insurance only covers loss or water damage.

I told him he was wrong because I've had my phone fixed under this plan before. To which he responded by giving me some sort of long drawn out explaination that didn't make sense to me.

Being that I was without a phone for a week already, I told him to go ahead and just fix it.

He told me to come back in 30 minutes.

When I came back in 30 minutes, they told me (very rudely) that it wasn't done yet and to come back in an hour.

I came back in an hour, and was very upset to learn that they didn't even have the parts to fix my phone and that they would have to order a new one.

I ended up taking my phone to another Sprint store in So. Cal where they repaired my phone for free in under 45 minutes.

Moral of the story: The Sprint Store on Mission and their employees suckf!

Short line, friendly help, quick service, no hassle.

Five stars for not being the 2081 Mission Street Sprint Store.

After dealing with various other Sprint franchisees and resellers who'd compare unfavorably to a storefront filled with pureed turnips, I finally figured out that just maybe the corporate Sprint store in the vicinity of the convention center and a bunch of expense-account type hotels might be the one to go to for service.  Sure enough, this location seems to be the pinnacle of Sprint retail.  The staff is knowledgeable and professional and seem to have probably graduated high school.  Overall, Sprint still sucks the same as any other telco, but as for this particular location, exceeding low expectations is more than enough to make me relatively happy. The lady who helped me was cheerful, competent, and cute.

She'll probably have a better job by next week.

Zero stars.. never ever ever ever sign a contract with Sprint, and never ever ever change your minutes if you do have a contract because that automatically extends your contract for 2 years.  I've been a customer since 2003, and joined on a month to month basis. Over the years, I tried to upgrade phones and was told no upgrade b/c I'm mo-2-mo. Ok, I figured it was small price to pay for no contract. 1 year ago I upped my minutes from 500 to 700. Yesterday, I called to tell them I was terminating my service b/c I wanted a Blackberry Curve and they don't carry it... I was told by the highest level manager they would connect me with that I was on a contract, and that I had extended that contract when I increased my minutes b/c "Sprint was providing a benefit to me". I told her there was no benefit -- I was purchasing 200 more minutes and paying for them. She began to berate me for not reading the "terms and conditions" .. when I upped the minutes over the telephone. I told her that I was cancelling my service and that I would not be paying a cancellation fee for a contract I never agreed to and which I've had no benefit of. She said that was fine, but it would ruin my credit. I'm considering my options (I'm an attorney).. but I wanted to warn everyone. If you don't have Sprint -- don't get it. And if you do -- don't ever under any circumstances lower or increase your minutes -- b/c Sprint believes that extends your contract 2 more years and will ruin your credit if you cancel w/o paying cancellation fee of $200. You may be ok if you intend to stay with Sprint until you die -- but if you decide you want an amicable divorce, Sprint will burn you down. (I may sue -- but for sure I'm complaining to ever state and federal agency there is.).
